GROOVEFEST 2026

Groovefest is a fun, fabulous event that was run by the Gender Empowerment Centre (previously the Women’s Centre) from 1996 until 2004. In Groovefest, diversity is celebrated as we explore alternatives to western societal standards of beauty and safe living, without compromising politics and fun. Be out and proud, be diverse and beautiful on your own terms.

This event includes performances of all kinds, and this year we are getting wet and wild! splash into creative expression, undefined by any norms, standards, or judgment! Ticket sales will start soon, so don’t let the slip and slide away!
